Can I get my nails done if I am pregnant?

Yes, you can get your nails done if your doctor approves it. Due to hormonal changes during pregnancy, there is a higher risk of potential allergic reactions.

It's important that you inform us in advance so we can take the necessary precautions. For example, we will avoid using any primer or gel polish remover to minimize the risk of allergic reactions. Additionally, we provide UV protection gloves for your safety.

When working with pregnant clients, we perform the Combi Manicure with extra care, often minimizing or even avoiding any cutting to prevent the risk of inflammation. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities.
Before determining whether you have nail fungus, it's essential to visit your doctor for a fungal culture test to confirm the diagnosis. If nail fungus is present, we are not allowed to treat it, as this requires medical attention.

It's also worth noting that a large portion of the population may experience a type of skin fungus, often caused by excessive sweating or spending long hours in the same shoes. This is more common and manageable by keeping your feet clean and dry, and using a special deodorant for your shoes after each use.

In some cases, recurring nail fungus can be linked to a weakened immune system. If you are dealing with persistent fungal infections, it's important to consult a specialist to address the underlying cause.

At our salon, we prioritize the health and well-being of all our clients, particularly younger individuals whose nails are still developing. To ensure safety and suitability, we have set the following age guidelines for our treatments:

• Manicure Treatments: These are available from the age of 14. We take extra care with younger clients to ensure gentle techniques and avoid any treatments that could risk damage to developing nails.

• Shellac Applications: Clients must be at least 16 years old to receive Shellac treatments. A parent or guardian must be present during the appointment to approve the service. This ensures that the client fully understands the process and aftercare required for Shellac.

• Hard Gel Treatments: Hard Gel applications, including overlays and extensions, are only offered to clients aged 18 and above. Younger nails are more delicate and susceptible to damage or allergic reactions, especially during hormonal changes in teenage years, which is why we reserve this service for adults.

We are happy to provide guidance and recommend age-appropriate services for younger clients. If you have any questions or would like to discuss specific needs, feel free to contact us before booking!
The light from LED lamps used in nail salons emits such low levels of UV radiation that the risk of skin damage is minimal – comparable to the exposure you'd get from walking outside to your car. In fact, the newer generation of lamps operates on a different UV spectrum, which is not harmful to the skin.

However, if you have any skin sensitivities, a history of sun allergies, pregnancy, or a history of skin cancer, we recommend using UV protection gloves. We provide these gloves for free at our salon, so you can borrow a pair for your appointment or purchase your own. Please avoid using sunscreen, as it can compromise the quality and longevity of your manicure.
If you have allergies or sensitive skin, let us know in advance so we can adjust the products and techniques used during your treatment.

We also offer HEMA-free product lines that are more allergy-friendly. Additionally, we provide free patch tests to ensure compatibility with our products.
Yes, you can schedule a free patch test to check for allergies or sensitivities to our products. Patch tests can be booked online for your convenience or by calling us directly.

We recommend doing this if you’re unsure about product compatibility, especially for new clients or those with a history of skin sensitivities.
